Successful performances of The Jungle Book
Last week, over 120 students successfully took part in our latest production ‘The Jungle Book’
A complex play based off the original Rudyard Kipling story. Students have been preparing for this exciting opportunity in Tuesday afternoon rehearsals since October. Working tirelessly from Sunday to Thursday, cast and student crew took part in technical and dress rehearsals leading to 2 outstanding performances in the latter part of the week. We were fortunate to have a brilliant scaffolding based set design transforming Thornden Hall into our very own jungle. Students came alive in extensive hair, makeup and costumes as they became iconic characters such as Baloo, Bagheera and Shere Khan and well as a host of other exciting creatures. A huge thank you from the Drama department to FOTS for supporting the production, all the other staff who helped out during the week and our fantastic audiences who came to watch. Finally, a huge well done to all the students involved who conducted themselves professionally and maturely during the entire week!
